shrouded

To Shroud: to veil under another appearance as by obscuring or disguising.By obscuring, you are not rendering the space devoid of light, conversely light is introduced more readily from the absence of exterior porosity. By shrouding the space, the viewer is forced to think objectively about the contents of the space rather than the exterior facade. The sharp juxtaposition with both form and materiality, create a strong transition between levels and cue the viewer into the program shift. The non traditional building from, strips the space of its previous uncommunicative nature and allows for a dynamic and inviting environment. The primary focus within each unit is on the quality of light. Each unit utilizes light wells, skylights, exterior windows, and curtain walls to deliver dynamic natural light throughout the day. Ergo allowing for                               equitable light access throughout each of the units.
